We started the trial with the exterior searches with the scent hidden in one of the plastic child’s toys, followed by the tables and chairs searches, followed by the vehicle searches. All 5 dogs have found the scent inside of the front wheel.
We carried on with the container searches which appeared to be more difficult for two of the dogs, most likely because they were getting tired.
We finished the night with the prize giving and a great laugh.
All 5 dogs have qualified.
Thanks to the judge Becky Milne, the scribe Lynn Harley and all the participants for making the trial such a pleasant experience.
We had a great evening for a trial, beautiful and sunny. It was quite windy so gave an extra challenge to the handlers. This didn’t put them off at all. With all handlers passing they really wowed me with their excellent searches. It’s clear they all know their dogs very well and practice hard. Thank you to my scribe Lynn and big thanks to Sandra for inviting me. I got to see some amazing searches and happy dogs this evening.
