Thank you Jackie for inviting me to judge level 3 today. The standard was very high especially for the exterior search with the wind and lawn mowing just the other side of the fence! You all managed to find both the hides and the handling was impeccable not one point lost. The table, chairs and perimeter proved a little more difficult with most points lost for the dogs indicating on the tape holding the box shut instead of the scented cloth on the opposite side. What a shame Teddy decided there was a find on the door he was doing really well until then. OH Lesley didn’t Chiara do well. And poor Peter, Holly was doing really well until you got to the boxes and luggage!! Clare, Kevin is a lovely dog and so happy. Andy you did so well with Honey considering all the noises and distractions. Elissa, Dexter just needs to be a bit more accurate with his indications he is so close to getting it spot on. Yvonne, Hazel is such a nice girl and very fast. Sue , What can I say Megan is brilliant. I hope every one enjoyed the day I certainly did and thank you very much to my scribes.
What a difference from our last trial! We had beautiful sunshine nearly all day today. The wind just picked up a little this afternoon and it was a tad chilly in the shade. Thank you so much to our lovely judges – Georgina Davies and Denise Pile – and to everyone else who helped out today.
Congratulations to everyone who took part and had a fun day out with their dog. There were some fabulous results and you all deserve to be thrilled. There were a few distractions today – for some it was birds on the playing field, for others the noisy children playing football not far away, but everyone coped very well.
