Well done to all of you. It just goes to show that most dogs are so keen to do their sniffing that they don’t seem to notice what’s going on around them and just focus on the job. I was very impressed with little Gracie on her last find on the wall, it was an inch or so above her head and as she passed it she suddenly caught the scent and doubled back to it. Beccy, Drift is so calm it is lovely to watch. I think Heidi is the one that loves sniffing the most. Ollie is getting better every time I see him. Jago is another one that just enjoys sniffing, Satchmo was really fast finding the scents on the chairs and perimeter. and Nala, bless her she is just happy to do what ever you ask her to do.
Many thanks to Denise for judging and to all our helpers for making everything work smoothly.
It was warm but not too hot and we are lucky there are some large trees at the end of the car park, to assist with shaded parking. Unfortunately, we were not expecting it to be a busy football day, meaning it was quite noisy and there were lots of people around and some car movement which meant we changed our original plans to use a vehicle and wall to just the wall for safety reasons. We also moved from our usual exterior area behind the football hut to an area behind the other end of the hall. Thank you to Denise and all the competitors for taking the moves and distractions in their stride.
Congratulations to everyone for qualifying, under the circumstances no mean feat! Bravo to the first four with their perfect scores and also to Beccy and Drift, Sharon and Heidi and Gill and Satchmo for all achieving their Excellent titles.
