We started the L6 with the Exterior search – not the easiest way to start but with dark clouds looming, it was the obvious choice. Five hides were to be found and all credit to Alison with Ellie and Mike with Poppy for finding them all in the blustery conditions. Moving inside to the larger area for Interior 1, again 5 hides were positioned, and the entire area (mens/disabled/ladies toilets and the hall with chairs) had to be carefully and thoroughly searched in order to achieve full marks. Delightfully, Margi with Daisy was entitled to the 10 mark bonus for finding them all and only 14 seconds behind the lightening bolt that is the wonderfully enthusiastic Ellie! After such hard work, it was planned that smaller area of Interior 2 would bring some respite with only 2 left to find to complete the searches; again Alison and Ellie were foot perfect, giving them the perfect score and also therefore qualifying for their L6 excellence. Our other qualifiers included Jo with Neo, Anni with Maisie, Margi with Daisy and Mike with Poppy, all of whom put in consistently dedicated searching, covering the areas well and efficiently. Congratulations all. To all the competitors, qualifiers or nearly-oh-so-close-qualifiers, it was a privilege to see the bond and love between the dog/handler teams, doing something human and canine find so much fun together. Bravo to you all.

Brilliant morning well done everyone, great atmosphere in the car park all supporting each other. Not everyone qualified but you all gave it a good go. Thank you for entering. Biggest thanks to Zoe who judged today, excellent hides and great feed back to each person, thank you. Pippa Bentham trials manager.
