We tried hard to beat the rain by starting with the outside searches but the rain torrented down during the car search but it did not affect our hardy ‘L1-ers’ as everyone found the scent and got full marks. Well done, all of you. We had a wide variety of competitors, ranging from large dogs to the very small but all acquited themselves admirably and five teams got clean sweeps, an excellent result especially for those at their first trial. My thanks to Rosemary for hosting, to Pippa being the ever-smiley (albeit soggy) judge, encouraging all and also suggesting wise words of help where appropriate, to Caroline for her expert stewarding and score recording but mostly to our cheerful Teams who all worked their dogs with delightful empathy and kindness. Particular congratulations to Lin and her little Tiva for achieving their excellence. It is great to see tiny dogs doing a great job and being treated like dogs with a purpose, and not just decorative toy lap-dogs. Bravo.
