Thanks to June McPhillips for agreeing to judge at a new venue, the Doggy Day Care Academy in Falkirk. We had 5 competitors who had completed the Level 1 syllabus of classes.

Everyone arrived nice and early for this evening trial and were a little bit nervous about what lay ahead. We decided to start with the Table and Chairs first then the Exterior Search, followed by the Vehicle Search and then finish with the Container Search.

All 5 teams completed the table and chair search with some taking a little longer to call an alert.

The Exterior search saw 4 successful alerts and one false alert as Bella’s handler called the alert a little too early.

The vehicle searches went well with everyone completing the search and a particularly nice search from Lucy and Poppy.

The container search was completed quickly with everyone finally settling their nerves and becoming more confident in calling the alert.

We had coffee and cake whilst the marking was completed and certificates written.

June then had a chat with each competitor and it was on to the presentation.

Jen and Buster had a well deserved win as they continued their excellent from class into the trial.
