Trial Manager and Judges Reports
Comments are closed.
This was probably one of the most challenging trials that I have run curtsey of storm Dennis. Although most of the L2 morning competitors wanted to come, I felt it only fair to cancel as the heavy persistent rain expected, would have been particularly challenging for our judges and scribes who would have had to stay endure it for well over an hour .
However as the weather looked to improve in the afternoon, I decided to go ahead with the L7 and Jeni Pirie sensibly started with the Exterior search in case the light faded. We used an area around the back of the village hall which was a bit protected by the worse of the weather and Jeni only hide 3 hides so that competitors didn’t have to brave the elements for too long.
Jeni’s tests were all very well thought out yet challenging for the L7 competitors and I will leave the detailing of the searches to Jeni to comment upon. I must also add a special thank you to Kate Osborn for being a meticulous scribe and first time scribing a L7 she did an excellent job. Thank you Jeni and Kate. .
