Thank you very much Sarah for inviting me to co-judge with Phil at your first trial. Congratulations to you and Sarah for putting on a trial which ran like clockwork with a great atmosphere.
Phil did the outside searches while I covered the inside ones. Thank you to our super scribes Sarah and Nicola.
Tables and Chairs
15 of the 18 teams completed this search successfully. The standard of handling was very high with those working on a line managing well without hindering their dogs. There were some super and fast independent searches, notably Alison and Lola and Lucy and Danny.
Boxes and Luggage
There were a good variety of items plus several identical boxes. 17 teams completed this successfully with Lacey and Lola indicating in well under 10 seconds. It was lovely to see Sue with Dolly , a very shy rescue, looking so much happier by her last search.
Congratulations to all of you on qualifying, it was a pleasure to watch you all, so many different breeds here today!
Congratulations to our top teams today –
1st. Gwen and Lacey, a super win, fast, accurate and Lacey obviously loves her work.
2nd. Alison and Lola, just beaten by 8 seconds. Lola was focussed and really happy working independently.
3rd. Bee and Kauto, a neat Spanish street dog who worked very well.
4th. Nikki and Theo, small with a big character! Well done with him and for qualifying the boisterous Stirling.
Thank you for the opportunity to observe you all!
