Well done to everyone for completing in this bank holiday trial.
I wanted to test to see if the dogs knew Gun Oil. The trial took place in a farm yard setting.
The first search being tables and chairs, Gun Oil on the chair in the corner close to competitors. Clove diagonal to the chair on a stack of table legs.
Second search was exterior items, most handler teams missed the dogs interest in the Gun Oil wellington boot. Clove was at the far end on a hozlock water sprayer.
Third search was boxes and luggage. I put the Gun Oil on the first box in front of the cones. The dogs missed and went straight to the Clove. Well done to the handlers for tasking your back on the first box.
The final search throw a few teams as due to the farm setting dogs we’re interested in the environmental smelling wall. All teams found the Cloves on the car.

To take away from this, is to believe your dogs. Let them search the area and give them space to make decisions.
