The first trial at Sywell Village Hall and what a great bunch of people we had. Some lovely searching by all the dogs. I believe nerves kicked in for some but I hope that that they’ve taken something positive from today’s trials and they’ll come back stronger next time.
Thank you, everyone for making Sywell’s first trial a real success. Looking forward to seeing you all again soon.

Judges Report

Thank you to everybody who entered.
My general feedback overall is to continue working on an indication with your dog, try not to pull your dog back into the search area with the lead (instead encourage by using voice), and if your dog is not searching what it should be, then direct them onto something specific. If your dog has lost motivation because it has searched without finding anything, you have the option to come back through the cones to simply reward their effort and keep up the momentum.
Congrats to the qualifiers and to those not successful on that day, there is always another trial to shine at!
